The Olympics Arrive in Paris!

Road Closures
From Monday July 15, Olympic lanes (that close one lane for athletes, media, and organizers) have been activated on 185 km of roads around Paris, including the Paris ring road and sections of the A1, A4, A12, and A13 motorways. Radar devices have been installed on the ring road to check that only authorized vehicles use the Olympic lane. Driving on these Olympic lanes during the above period carries a fine of €135.
Neer Service are working with customers and our industry partners to set expectations regarding arrival times, where there is a risk of delays.
Access to Areas Around Venues
The colour coded perimeters to control traffic around Olympic venues will come into force this week, with the digital application and QR code system working well.
As a reminder, we will need to apply for a digital pass to access homes in the red perimeter where motorized traffic is prohibited without approval. For areas in the blue perimeter around Olympic sites, Neer Service will be required to show a QR code or move paperwork to prove we have a legitimate reason to go to an address in the blue zone.
For the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, a perimeter close to the River Seine will be in place from July 18 to 26 and no access is permitted.
Moving Capacity
Although Neer Service will be active carrying out moves throughout the period of the Olympic Games and Paralympics, it is naturally quieter than a normal summer period and we are able to respond quickly to last minute moves throughout the events.
