Port Unions Announce March Strikes
The union representing workers at the Port of Le Havre have called upon members to take further industrial action in March.
Following a series of rolling strikes this month, union leaders announced the work stoppages following a general meeting earlier this week. The action includes, eight separate 4-hour strikes on March, 4, 6, 10, 12, 14, 24, 26, and 28, with a longer 72-hour strike between March 18-20. “The legitimate battle we are waging, may still last several weeks,” said the union leadership.
Port workers are seeking a pathway for early retirement and protesting pension reforms.
